Millions of tonnes of oil equivalent (Mtoe) is a unit of [[energy]] used to describe the energy content of all [[fuel]]s, typically on a very large scale. It is equal to 4.1868x10<sup>16</sup> [[Joule]]s, or 41.868 [[prefixes|petajoules]] which is a tremendous amount of energy.
